Access Control Systems

Access control systems are gaining in popularity when used in conjunction with extensive intrusion alarm systems as they allow for an enhanced ability to account for your personnel. Access control systems will not only generate a report as to activities of individual employees, but they can authorize or restrict access to various secured areas. Access levels may be as ‘general’ as a main entrance door or a parking gate/arm, or as ‘specific’ as differentiating between general areas and designated high security locations such as a computer room.
The technology used for access control allows for multiple options, from a simple credit card access key to a scramble keypad. With a scramble keypad, the position of the numbers on the keypad will randomly change at each activation in order to prevent sequence duplication.
